This African Mud Cloth is a vintage piece likely crafted in Guinea in the 1990s. Measuring approximately 49" wide and 120" long, this handmade textile reflects the rich cultural heritage of Africa. Made of cotton, this unique piece of fabric showcases intricate patterns and designs that are characteristic of West African craftsmanship. I believe I purchased this in Guinea in the 1990s and have had it since. Intended to make clothing at the time. See photos - as this is handmade, the pattern and dyes are not even in all places. Noting one area where it (the dye) splashed - see photo.
Fabric itself has a variety of stiching as seen in the last photo.
