## RIGID SEA ISLAND COTTON VEST

This is an extremely rare item, produced in very limited quantities as a special order for a select shop in 2023.

Sea Island cotton, known as the "gem of fibers." We specially ordered a tightly twisted yarn for mid-gauge knitting, and by knitting it densely, we aimed to create a "growing knitwear" that retains the inherent suppleness and luster of the material while becoming more comfortable with wear.

Compared to typical high-gauge knitwear, this is a densely knitted fabric made with two strands of seven-ply yarn, resulting in a mid-gauge knit that is less stretchy and more resistant to washing.

This item is part of the "Yonetomi NEW BASIC" knit project, which pursues the basics that align with the "new everyday" envisioned by Yonetomi Sen-i. While cardigan types in this project often use nut buttons, this vest uses horn buttons that are close in color to the body, creating a more organic look.
